Varanasi is considered to be the oldest living city in the world. She is the city of Lord Shiva, a place where spirit and soul meet the body of the Ganga river. It is a place of ceremony, of death and of deep prayer. It is the place where the darkest shadows and the most luminescent light meet each other. It is raw, fierce and warm. It is one of my favorite places on this planet.
